A happy couple celebrate their anniversary by exchanging gifts, leading to an exploration of self-expression and
attempts at pleasing the one you love. The Dutch masterpiece was known for it’s massive scale, heavy symbolism
and unique lighting and perspective – which all play an important role in the film.
