COMEDY
Comedy has always been my go-to form of communication, often to the chagrin of those closest to me. Fortunately when it comes to telling stories on screens, it seems to work better. Below is a collection of both personal and professional funnies.
When I'm directing the things that I add to the equation:
-
Happy Set = Good Work. If people are treated well and feel like they're trusted to do a good job, they usually will. And the end result shows.
-
Actors gotta act. I love working with performers to find the best nuggets. It's always a push and pull from what's on the page and what someone has to bring to the character. It's about getting what's needed but leaving room for the unexpected.
-
Know what you bring to the table. My directing style is focused more on character and story so I love working with a DP and crew that can dig into the technical and bring the lighting or camera expertise into it so we can collaborate and get it right.
